Save the date for Amsterdam Denim Days: 11-17 April 2016
This spring, Amsterdam will once again roll out the blue carpet for its third annual Amsterdam Denim Days event.
After gaining huge recognition over the last two years and attracting attendees from around the world, this unique series of shows, gatherings and events returns to the city of Amsterdam.
There’s no other city in the world that has the same indigo energy as Amsterdam right now. With world renowned stores, leading brands plus the newly opened Jean School and Denim City, this is not a city in the denim circuit any denim head can afford to miss.
For a full week Amsterdam Denim Days attracts thousands of visitors from all over the globe: from brands and makers to enthusiasts and addicts, all united by a love of indigo. Here’s what to expect:
11th-17th April, City Center Program. A seven-day denim experience.
Open to the general public, the city of Amsterdam celebrates its world-class denim stores with tailored product launches, presentations, exhibitions and special offers, geared towards the denim obsessive. For the ultimate denim shopping experience you can stroll around the Nine Streets and Kalverstraat area and go for the big blue catch.
15th & 16th April, Main Event Blueprint. A two-day Denim Festival at Westergasfabriek area.
Fast becoming one of the most notable global denim platforms, this two-day happening unites denim heroes such as K.O.I, Lee, Scotch and Soda, Denham the Jeanmaker and experts like The Vintage showroom. Renowned Italian mill Candiani, US supplier of denim fabrics Cone Denim, Advance Denim and Tonello well known for its garment finishing technology are part of the event. Alongside these brands you can expect exhibitions, new innovative labels, workshops, live music, artisanal food and drinks and shopping at the now even bigger and better Denim Market.

12th April, Transformers Summit. A 1-day denim discussion on industrial waste.
The conference entitled - Garbage: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, this important industry discussion explores the issue of industrial waste in the denim industry and features a panel of speakers committed to shaping a more environmentally stable future in the Jeanswear making process.
13th & 14th April, Kingpins. A two-day invite-only denim trade show.
This renowned international textile trade show is a chance for industry insiders to view the best mills, wash houses, full package manufacturers and trim providers from around the globe. Get inspired by the AW17/18 fabrics and plan for the seasons ahead.
