Emerging denim nations Colombia and Morocco

HTNK and communications agency Super Stories are proud to present the stories of two emerging denim nations.

 Don Matías Blue Town, Colombia

Donmatías, a mountain village near Medellin, Colombia, was shaped by decades of local blue jeans production. Sustainable practice on a social and production level is the standard in this blue town.

 Moroccan Denim Cluster

Throughout the country’s long history of fabric craftsmanship, indigo and Morocco have been indelibly associated. The distinctive colour is dyed into the national soul. Today, Morocco features a well-developed denim industry – a fact not known by many.

You can meet the Don Matías Blue Town and Moroccan Denim Cluster team at WHY and Blueprint where they will have an exhibition and a booth. You can read their stories in the Book of Denim published by CODE magazine. The Book of Denim will be launched at Blueprint.

Main event Blueprint

Blueprint connects denim brands & labels directly to the consumer, uniting mills like Advance denim, Candiani, and Cone with brands like G-Star RAW, Denham, KOI and Tommy Hilfiger. During Denim City, Blueprint will host an inspiring program of expo’s, music, seminars, vintage market, food & drinks, workshops and more. The bigger and better Denim Market with labels like INK Inklusive, Black Rabbit, Mess of Blues, and Indigo People includes the HTNK curated store.
